Hello, lovelies.
It’s been a while, hasn’t it? Our apologies, my men and I have had a lot going on in our lives. As a result, we haven’t gotten much done in the way of writing in quite a while.
So I just wanted to make a quick announcement that we are back to writing Bound by Blood again after somewhat of a hiatus. (We have been writing some, just not for these books…maybe we can use those scenes in later books.) We had a bit of a difficult time agreeing on which book to concentrate our efforts on, the first or second. We’ve decided to go with the second one. Yes, I know…who writes the second book first? Me, apparently, when commanded to do so by all my gorgeous men, lol.
It’s been a year (or two?) since I wrote the beginning scenes of the book. I’ve had more than enough time away from those scenes; it’s time to go back and edit them, make them the best that they can be. That’s what we’ll be doing for a while, editing what we already have written so it will be on par with the new material once once we start writing again.
Of course, I’m itching to just pick up where we left off and write, write, write! We’ll have to see how it all goes, lol.
I’ve updated the Bound by Blood word meters on the sidebar (on the right, over there >> ) to reflect what we currently have, and I will try to be diligent about keeping them updated as we add more words and slash others, for those who are interested in following our progress. I think I’m going to try out the WriteTrack Facebook app when we start writing new words as well, if anyone follows what I do over there.
Other fantastic news… after a disappointing experience with one artist, I’ve commissioned a new artist to paint the covers for the first and second Bound by Blood books! I’m so excited. She has experience doing covers for a publisher so this experience should be much better than the first one. Hopefully, I’ll have some lovely new artwork in the coming weeks, and that will keep me motivated to write hard and be ready to publish before the end of the year.
